Abstract

Objective: To explore the association between recent life stress events, health literacy and depression/anxiety symptoms among college students, and to provide basis for the prevention and control of depression and anxiety symptoms in college students. 

Methods: A total of 7617 freshmen from two universities in Jiangsu and Anhui were enrolled witha cluster sampling method. Recent life stress events, health literacy and depression/anxiety were evaluated by the AdolescentLife Events Self⁃Assessment Scale (ASLEC), the Chinese Adolescent Interactive Health Literacy Questionnaire (CAIHLQ),the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) and the 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7). Spearmancorrelation and hierarchical regression were conducted to explore variable relationships. 

Results: The detection rates of depression and anxiety symptoms among college students were 49.9% and 34.9%, respectively. Correlation analysis revealedthat recent life stress events were positively correlated withdepressive and anxiety symptoms (r=0.62, 0.59, P <0.001), while health literacy was negatively correlated with both (r=-0.42, -0.37, P<0.001). Hierarchical regression analysisindicated that the interaction term between life stress events and health literacy had a significant negative predictive effect on depression and anxiety symptoms (β =- 0.33, -0.40, P <0.001). 

Conclusion: Recent life stress eventsare risk factors for depression and anxiety, and health literacy can mitigate the adverse impact of recent life stress events on depression and anxiety in college students.

摘要

目的:探讨大学新生近期生活压力事件和健康素养与抑郁、焦虑症状的关联,为大学生抑郁、焦虑症状的防控提供依据。

方法:采用简单整群抽样方法,选取江苏省和安徽省两所高等院校的7 617名大一新生为研究对象;采用青少年生活事件自评量表(ASLEC)、中国青少年互动性健康素养问卷(CAIHLQ)、9项患者健康问卷(PHQ-9)和7项广泛性焦虑障碍量表(GAD-7)评价大学生近期生活压力事件、健康素养及抑郁焦虑症状,采用Spearman相关和层次回归分析各变量之间的关系。

结果:大学生抑郁和焦虑的检出率分别为49.9%、34.9%。相关分析结果显示,近期生活压力事件与大学生抑郁、焦虑症状均呈正相关(r=0.62、0.59,P值均<0.001),健康素养与大学生抑郁、焦虑症状均呈负相关(r=-0.42、-0.37,P值均<0.001);回归分析结果显示,两者乘积项对抑郁、焦虑症状有负向预测作用(β=-0.33、-0.40,P值均<0.001)。

结论:近期生活压力事件是抑郁和焦虑症状的危险因素,健康素养能够调节近期生活压力事件对大学生抑郁和焦虑症状的影响。
